What will you do?

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Cloud Security Consultant to join our Cloud Security team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure or AWS cloud services, focusing on security, identity and access management, logging, and monitoring solutions. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable architectures across multi-tenant, multi-cloud environments.

As part of a team of security consultants and engineers, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders from our customers to understand their business and technical requirements, design and develop tailored cloud security solutions, provide technical guidance, and ensure successful implementation.

Responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing identity access management and governance strategies in the Cloud, including Entra ID, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and Conditional Access policies.
• Assisting clients in leveraging cloud integrated analysis and reporting solutions to identify, enable proactive threat detection, response automation, and compliance management, using tools like Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, or similar.
• Conducting security assessments and providing recommendations for configuring clients’ cloud platforms following industry best practices such as CIS Benchmarks, Microsoft Cloud Security Benchmark, and Well-Architected Framework, including IAM solutions, cloud infrastructure, security monitoring, and data protection.
• Supporting clients with configuration and delivery of cloud security reports.
• Reviewing cloud services configurations for Azure and M365 Defender products such as Defender for O365, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud Apps, and Microsoft Purview.
• Implementing industry-leading best practices for Azure and/or M365 to ensure robust cloud security solutions.
• Leading technical discussions with clients, providing security advice, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to guide decisions.

Requirements

• At least 3+ years of experience in technical consulting, security architecture, and designing solutions with a security-first approach in cloud environments.
• Proven expertise with Azure and/or M365 cloud services, including Entra ID, Microsoft Sentinel, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud (Azure), Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud Apps, Defender for Identity, and/or Purview.
• Knowledge of security logging and monitoring solutions, and the ability to interpret logs from diverse sources.
• Experience with cloud security best practices such as CIS, CISA, NIST, etc.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience engaging diverse stakeholders.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Relevant Microsoft cloud certifications, e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305, SC-200, SC-300, SC-400, SC-100, SC-401, or AZ-500.
• Eligibility for NATO clearance (see HERE for more information).

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information security, engineering, IT, or related fields.
• Experience with CSPM tools and CNAPP solutions.
• Other vendor-agnostic cybersecurity certifications such as SSCP, Security+.
• Familiarity with automation and scripting using Azure DevOps, Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Lambda, or Terraform.
• Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, Bash.
• Experience with Kubernetes (AKS/EKS) and securing containerized environments.
