Job summary

UltraViolet Cyber is seeking a Senior Microsoft Cloud Security Engineer to secure and optimize a large Microsoft cloud environment including Azure, Entra, Defender, Purview, and Microsoft 365.

You’ll collaborate with security engineers, cloud architects, identity teams, and incident responders to ensure a resilient, compliant tenant and to support enterprise clients. This role requires deep Microsoft cloud expertise and on‑call readiness.

Qualifications

• Expert-level hands-on experience deploying, managing, and securing Azure, Entra, Defender, Purview, Office 365, and Microsoft 365 in large enterprises.
• Lead the development and enforcement of Conditional Access Policies for various personas, groups, and applications.
• Optimize Microsoft Defender components (Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud, Defender for Identity, Defender for Office 365).
• Design, run and optimize Kusto Query Language (KQL) queries for Azure Sentinel and log analytics.
• Review and remediate security controls through vulnerability assessments and incident response engagements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for securing the Microsoft cloud tenant across Azure, O365, and M365.
• Guide cross-functional teams on security controls, compliance requirements, policy, and governance best practices.
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule to provide incident response support during outages.
