Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Integration Engineer to support the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

This role focuses on integrating cloud services across Azure and Microsoft 365 GCC environments to enable secure, scalable enterprise modernization. The candidate will work with development and engineering teams to design, test, and implement identity-driven integrations, governance, and compliance across hybrid and multitenant clouds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS or related field with 8 years IT/IT engineering experience.
• Proficiency with Azure Administration Portal, Azure CLI, PowerShell, Graph, and ARM templates.
• Hands-on experience managing Azure resources, monitoring usage, governance, and optimizing workloads.
• Strong knowledge of Azure services, Microsoft 365, identity platforms, and cloud security configurations.

Responsibilities

• Integrate Azure services and Microsoft 365 GCC/GCCHigh environments for development, testing, and production.
• Configure and manage Azure resources including VMs, storage, networking, and resource groups.
• Support hybrid identity environments (Azure AD/Entra ID, AD Connect) and ensure synchronization.
• Implement identity-driven integration with Entra ID, MFA, SSO, RBAC, and least-privilege access.
• Apply cloud security best practices to governance, data protection, and compliance.
• Support SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS across Azure commercial, GCC, GCCHigh.
• Collaborate with developers and engineers to design and test integrated Azure solutions.
• Automate cloud platform documentation and support workflows using Azure tools.
• Evaluate emerging Azure and SaaS technologies for continuous improvement.

Senior Azure Cloud Integration Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Integration Engineer to support the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). This engineer will play a key role in integrating cloud services across Azure and Microsoft 365 GCC environments, enabling secure, scalable, and compliant solutions for development, testing, and enterprise modernization.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience with Azure administration, identity services, Microsoft 365, multitenant cloud environments, and cross‑functional engineering collaboration.

Citizenship, Clearance, and Location Requirements

• U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person who has lived in the United States for the past three (3) consecutive years
• Holding a current Public Trust is preferred
• Local to the DC Metro area for onsite work if needed is preferred

Primary Responsibilities

• Integrate Azure services and Microsoft 365 GCC/GCCHigh capabilities into enterprise environments to support application development, testing, and production readiness.
• Configure and manage Azure resources including virtual machines, storage accounts, networking components, and resource groups to support integrated cloud solutions.
• Support hybrid identity environments, including Azure AD/Entra ID and AD Connect, ensuring reliable synchronization and access between on‑premises and cloud systems.
• Implement identity‑driven integration approaches using Entra ID, MFA, SSO, RBAC, and role‑based access models to ensure secure system‑to‑system and user‑to‑system interactions.
• Apply cloud security best practices across Azure and Microsoft 365 services to ensure proper governance, data protection, and compliance.
• Support integration of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS resources across Azure commercial, GCC, and GCCHigh environments.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and engineering teams to design and test integrated Azure services and cloud solutions.
• Automate cloud platform documentation and support workflows using Azure tools, scripting, and Power Platform automation.
• Evaluate emerging Azure and SaaS technologies to support continuous improvement and integration opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field and eight (8) years of general IT or IT engineering experience; six (6) years of general IT or IT engineering experience is considered equivalent to a Bachelor's degree.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Azure Administration Portal, Azure CLI, PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, and ARM templates.
• Hands‑on experience supporting Azure resource management, monitoring usage, enforcing governance, and optimizing integrated cloud workloads.
• Deep knowledge of Azure services, Microsoft 365, identity platforms, and cloud security configurations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating cloud services within HHS or similar federal agencies.
• Certifications in Azure Administration, Azure Development, or Power Platform (Fundamentals/Associate/Developer/Architect).
• Experience supporting or integrating solutions across Azure commercial, GCC, and GCCHigh environments.
• Background in evaluating and implementing emerging Azure technologies, particularly those tied to identity, collaboration, and automation.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $107,900.00 – $195,050.00. The pay range is a general guideline only and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement, or other law.
