Job summary

Leidos in the Washington, DC area seeks a Senior Azure Cloud Integration Engineer to lead cloud integration across Azure and Microsoft 365 GCC/GCC-High environments, enabling secure, scalable solutions for development, testing, and enterprise modernization.

You will configure Azure resources, support hybrid identity with Entra ID/AD Connect, implement RBAC/SSO, and collaborate with architects and developers to design testable cloud solutions while applying security best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with eight years of IT or IT engineering experience (six years equivalent).
• Proficiency with Azure Administration Portal, Azure CLI, PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, and ARM templates.
• Hands-on experience managing Azure resources, governance, and workload optimization.
• Deep knowledge of Azure services, Microsoft 365, identity platforms, and cloud security configurations.

Responsibilities

• Integrate Azure services and Microsoft 365 GCC/GCC‑High capabilities into enterprise environments for development, testing, and production readiness.
• Configure and manage Azure resources including VMs, storage, networking, and resource groups.

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Integration Engineer to support the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). This engineer will play a key role in integrating cloud services across Azure and Microsoft 365 GCC environments, enabling secure, scalable, and compliant solutions for development, testing, and enterprise modernization.

Eligibility & Requirements

• Be a US Citizen or US Person who has lived in the United States for the past three consecutive years
• Holding a current Public Trust is preferred
• Be local to the DC Metro area for onsite work if needed preferred

Primary Responsibilities

• Integrate Azure services and Microsoft 365 GCC/GCC‑High capabilities into enterprise environments to support application development, testing, and production readiness.
• Configure and manage Azure resources including virtual machines, storage accounts, networking components, and resource groups to support integrated cloud solutions.
• Support hybrid identity environments, including Azure AD/Entra ID and AD Connect, ensuring reliable synchronization and access between on‑premises and cloud systems.
• Implement identity‑driven integration approaches using Entra ID, MFA, SSO, RBAC, and role‑based access models to ensure secure system‑to‑system and user‑to‑system interactions.
• Apply cloud security best practices across Azure and Microsoft 365 services to ensure proper governance, data protection, and compliance.
• Support integration of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS resources across Azure commercial, GCC, and GCC‑High environments.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and engineering teams to design and test integrated Azure services and cloud solutions.
• Automate cloud platform documentation and support workflows using Azure tools, scripting, and Power Platform automation.
• Evaluate emerging Azure and SaaS technologies to support continuous improvement and integration opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field and eight (8) years of general IT or IT engineering experience. Six (6) years of general IT or IT engineering experience is considered equivalent to a Bachelor's degree.
• Proficiency with Azure Administration Portal, Azure CLI, PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, and ARM templates.
• Hands‑on experience supporting Azure resource management, monitoring usage, enforcing governance, and optimizing integrated cloud workloads.
• Deep knowledge of Azure services, Microsoft 365, identity platforms, and cloud security configurations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating cloud services within HHS or similar federal agencies.
• Certifications in Azure Administration, Azure Development, or Power Platform (Fundamentals/Associate/Developer/Architect).
• Experience supporting or integrating solutions across Azure commercial, GCC, and GCC‑High environments.
• Background in evaluating and implementing emerging Azure technologies, particularly those tied to identity, collaboration, and automation.
