Senior Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Open to remote)

Penguin Random House is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to be part of the Client Systems Team working to maintain, design, and engineer enterprise-grade solutions for the world's leading trade-book publisher’s work-life balanced IT Dept. The Senior Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is a result-driven technical engineer that leverages SaaS and Cloud based technologies to solve complex business challenges.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Implements and supports Azure Operations team process integrations with customer’s broader Enterprise IT cloud management ecosystem.
  • Governs a variety of multi-cloud IT projects leveraging knowledge of Azure RBAC, AWS IAM and virtual networking.
  • Collaborates with Service Delivery, Engineering, IT Security, Architecture, Data Warehousing, and Development Teams.
  • Assists with Client Systems Design Team projects and provides escalation support as needed.
  • Maintains documentation, team knowledge transfer sessions, and peer-review of designs.

Please apply if you meet the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years' experience in a hybrid global Microsoft enterprise
  • Proficient with Azure and M365 services including Azure OpenAI, AI & ML Studios, CoPilot, Power Platform, Azure Security Center, and Azure Automation Account & Runbooks
  • Experience creating and using PowerShell and Python scripts, Rest API’s, and OIDC/Okta authentications.
  • Understanding of concepts such as virtualization, containerization, auto-scaling, experience with GIT, CI/CD pipeline, working understanding of Terraform, building fault-tolerant solutions and fully automated systems
  • Must have the ability to work independently, be self-driven and have a strong desire to learn
  • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve technical and application issues.
  • Solution engineering using cloud-based platforms and ad-hoc SaaS products to address business technology requirements
  • Knowledge of the following Client Systems technologies:
    • Networking: Virtual Networking, DNS, SSL Protocols, and basic firewall concepts.
    • IT Change Management: Understanding of change and new technologies adoption processes
  • Excellent team collaboration and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to be in an on-call rotation and availability after standard business hours

The salary range for this position is $115,000 - $140,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to company results.
