Job summary

Friedman Williams is seeking a fulltime Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and optimize enterprise cloud infrastructure with strong Microsoft Azure expertise in the Pittsburgh area. You will work with DevOps and Security teams to manage Azure IaaS, networking, compute, containers, storage, and automation, leveraging Terraform, PowerShell, and Azure CLI.

Responsibilities include designing Azure networking, managing VMs and AKS, supporting Zscaler Zero Trust, and monitoring via Azure

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT experience with 5+ years hands-on Azure in production.
• Strong Azure networking, IaaS, compute, container and storage expertise.
• Experience with Terraform, PowerShell, Azure CLI or similar automation tools.
• Knowledge of cloud security, monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Azure certifications AZ-104 or AZ-305 are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and troubleshoot Azure networking, including VNets, NSGs, Virtual WAN, VPN Gateway, Load Balancers, Firewall, and ExpressRoute.
• Manage Azure VMs, AKS, Docker, containers, storage, and backup/recovery solutions; Rubrik experience is a plus.
• Support Zero Trust solutions, including Zscaler (ZPA, ZIA, ZDX).
• Monitor Azure environments using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
• Improve cloud security, performance, and reliability.
