Job summary
EPAM Systems Inc is seeking a Lead Cloud Engineer to drive automation across Azure and on-prem VMware. You will lead Azure automation, configure AKS, and advance IaC/CaC practices using Terraform/OpenTofu and Ansible.
Your work includes building and maintaining Terraform/OpenTofu modules, managing AKS day-to-day, implementing identity wiring, and contributing to Backstage template integration. Excellent English required.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on Azure infrastructure experience with Terraform/OpenTofu.
- At least 1 year of leadership experience.
- Production AKS experience including networking and namespace management.
- Experience with Identity and secret integration (Managed Identities, Key Vault).
- Configuration as Code with Ansible for VM post-provisioning.
- Strong English communication (B2+).
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain Terraform/OpenTofu modules for Azure services.
- Operate Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) platform day-to-day.
- Configure identities and secrets integration for Azure workloads.
- Build image pipelines for VM and container baselines.
- Execute Ansible playbooks for VM post-provisioning and image handoff.
- Support Backstage templates for Azure provisioning and tests.
