Description: SAIC is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Computing Engineer for the Cloud One program under the Air Force Lifecycle Management Center Office for Network Integration (AFLCMC/HNI). The Cloud One environment is a global, interconnected, virtualized, hybrid infrastructure hosting mission systems, applications, services, and data for the U.S. Air Force and Army. The candidate will manage, operate, support, and oversee the Cloud One Azure environments. This position is 100% remote.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Design, plan, and integrate cloud computing and virtualization systems.
  2. Identify, evaluate, and implement tools and services to enhance cloud-based and virtualized services.
  3. Develop and conduct testing of cloud and virtualization systems.
  4. Maintain expertise in Azure standards and related technologies, including cloud deployment models, service delivery models, automation, hypervisors, containers, virtual compute, storage, networks, management, self-provisioning, and scaling.
  5. Advise and assist in forecasting, developing, and prioritizing roadmap items.
  6. Work within the Agile Framework to meet operational and scheduling objectives.
  7. Research and evaluate new security tools and develop implementation strategies.
  8. Develop technical solutions for complex problems with minimal oversight.
  9. Work independently or as part of a team in a virtualized Azure cloud environment using both graphical and command-line interfaces.
  10. Assist team members with automated configuration management tools such as PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, Kusto Query Language, and Desired State Configuration.
  11. Employ security, automation, and orchestration to enable continuous integration and delivery.
  12. Troubleshoot infrastructure problems and resolve large-scale production issues.
  13. Assist colleagues in resolving blockers and completing tasks within constraints.
  14. Minimize risks related to reliability, durability, availability, performance, and correctness.
  15. Identify and resolve operational, tooling, and process inefficiencies.
  16. Implement creative solutions to resolve complex customer incidents promptly and maintain communication with customers.

Qualifications:

Required Clearance: Secret clearance to start, US citizenship required.

Required Certifications: Security+ Certification.

Required Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree with 9 years of experience or Master's degree with 7 years of experience; additional experience accepted in lieu of degree.

Required Qualifications:

  • Expertise in deploying systems and services to Azure via Terraform, Terragrunt, and other IaC tools.
  • Deep knowledge of Azure services including Azure Domain Services, Entra ID, Managed Service Identity, Automation, Functions, ARM, DSC, AKS, Azure Policy, and App Service.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows such as Azure Pipelines/TFS, GitLab.
  • Scripting skills in PowerShell, Shell, Python, Bash, or similar.
  • Experience working on integrated teams with high customer interaction, project design, and implementation.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps, Agile, Scrum, SAFe methodologies.
  • Experience designing and implementing IaaS and PaaS solutions within a DevOps framework using Azure DevOps and GitLab.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Azure certifications such as AZ-305, AZ-400, others.
  • SAFe DevOps certification.
  • Experience supporting software migration efforts.
  • Experience with DoD/government contracts is highly desirable.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis. No deadline. SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters; vaccination requirements at customer sites must be followed.
