Job summary

Innosoft Corporation is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Architect to own the enterprise landing zone design, governance and migration for a federal agency in the DC area. This role combines hands-on engineering with architecture leadership and requires on-site presence one day per week.

You will define IaC standards, lead architecture review boards and drive enterprise-scale landing zone governance aligned to Microsoft CAF and the Well-Architected Framework, while presenting options to CIO/CTO

Qualifications

Local to the Washington, DC metropolitan area and able to work on-site one day per week.
9 to 15 years of IT experience, including at least 5 to 7 years of hands-on Azure engineering and at least 2 to 4 years at an architecture or technical leadership level.
Career path from hands-on engineering into architecture is required for this role.
Experience with Blob Storage, Azure Files, Managed Disks and storage lifecycle management policies.

Responsibilities

Design enterprise-scale Azure solutions across VMs, VMSS, App Services, Functions, Container Apps, AKS and Batch.
Architect advanced Azure networking with hub-and-spoke topologies and enterprise DNS strategy.
Design identity architecture using Entra ID with CA, PIM, B2B/B2C and RBAC.
Apply the Azure Well-Architected Framework across reliability, security and cost optimization.
Produce reference architectures, diagrams and architecture decision records for implementation.
