Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking an Experienced Azure Cloud Administrator to support and optimize Azure cloud infrastructure across multiple on-site locations in the United States. The role requires hands-on management of VMs, networking, storage, identity, security and compliance within a hybrid work arrangement.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in IT and cloud infra experience (AWS, Azure) and be proficient with Azure PowerShell and Azure CLI.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience within Information Technology.
2+ years of experience with cloud infrastructures such as AWS and Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities

Hands-on experience to manage and maintain the Azure cloud infrastructure and services.
Provisioning and managing virtual machines including creating and managing VM images, configuring networking and managing storage.
Ensuring availability, performance and security of the cloud environment.
Monitor and troubleshoot issues, manage user access and permissions, and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Monitor and optimize the performance of Azure resources including scaling up or down as needed.
Implement and manage Azure networking services such as virtual networks, subnets, load balancers and VPN gateways.
Implement and manage Azure identity and access management including Azure Active Directory role-based access control and MFA.
Monitor and troubleshoot Azure services to ensure high availability and performance.
Implement and manage Azure security services such as Azure Security Center, Azure Firewall and Azure DDoS Protection.
Automate tasks using Azure PowerShell, Azure CLI or other automation tools.
Collaborate with IT teams to integrate Azure with on-premises infrastructure.
Stay up to date with latest Azure features and recommend adoption based on business needs.
Hands-on experience with patch management lifecycle and change management processes to ensure compliance and audits.
Align to industry security standards and mitigate OS vulnerabilities.
