Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a hybrid team building and maintaining software for DMV kiosks. You will work on backend-heavy systems using VB.NET, C#, and SQL Server, with a focus on migrating to Azure Cloud.

You will collaborate with the product team and operations, own complex production issues, and contribute to high-quality releases across legacy and new cloud-based components.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience with C# and related .NET tech.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud architecture and development.
• Strong experience with SQL Server, including query design and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain core application logic using VB.NET.
• Build and maintain WinForms desktop applications.
• Design and optimize SQL Server queries for high-performance systems.
• Build and support web applications using C# / ASP.NET (Web Forms, Web API, MVC).
• Assist in migrating kiosk apps to Microsoft Azure Cloud.
• Troubleshoot production issues across DB, backend, and UI layers.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality releases.
• Participate in code reviews and improve development standards.
• Support automated testing and CI/CD pipeline improvements.
