Job summary

Dover Networks LLC is seeking a Software Architect to own the design, delivery, and evolution of our AWS infrastructure and services. You will blend deep AWS expertise with hands-on Java and Python development, mentoring a small team while driving architectural best practices.

The role requires leadership across architecture, development, and operations, with a focus on secure, scalable, and observable systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 12 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 10 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end AWS architectures for scalable, secure, cost-optimized systems.
• Develop production-grade Java and Python services for AWS Lambda or containers.
• Define and maintain Infrastructure as Code with version control.
• Architect data and messaging layers using DynamoDB, OpenSearch, SQS, SNS.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting with CloudWatch.
• Lead CI/CD and DevSecOps practices using GitLab and related tooling.
• Mentor junior engineers, review code, and promote best practices.
• Communicate complex solutions to leadership and stakeholders.
• Create up-to-date diagrams, runbooks, and SOPs for operations.
