Job summary

UST seeks a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer to lead lift-and-shift migrations from on-premises to AWS. You will re-host applications, storage, and file transfer, establishing secure patterns for ongoing operations.

You will design CloudFront delivery, S3 storage, and Transfer Family workflows, containerize apps with Docker, and drive runbooks and cutover plans while ensuring cost efficiency and security across migrated workloads.

Qualifications

• Experience leading lift-and-shift migrations to AWS.
• Proven ability to design secure, scalable cloud architectures.
• Strong knowledge of networking, IAM, and storage in AWS.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute lift-and-shift migration of on-premises servers, applications, and workloads to AWS.
• Design and implement content delivery using CloudFront and storage architecture using S3.
• Stand up and manage AWS Transfer Family endpoints (SFTP/FTPS/FTP).
• Containerize legacy applications with Docker for cloud-hosted environments.
• Develop migration runbooks, wave plans, and cutover strategies.
• Configure AWS networking, compute, security groups, and IAM for migrated workloads.
• Validate post-migration performance, cost, and security posture; remediate issues during cutover.
• Document migration architecture and operational procedures.
