Job summary

System One, Inc. is seeking an AWS Data Engineer to join our team in Knoxville, TN, with flexibility for Columbia SC, Lafayette LA, or Birmingham AL.

You will build and maintain cloud-based data solutions on AWS, focusing on data processing, analytics, automation, and high performance across risk analytics platforms. The role requires strong Python and SQL skills, extensive experience with Redshift and Glue, and a proven track record implementing ETL/data pipelines, CI/CD, and GenAI enhancements

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services in data engineering environments.
• Experience developing and maintaining data solutions using Amazon Redshift.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Glue, including ETL jobs and data transformation workflows.
• Strong programming skills in Python for data processing, scripting, and automation.
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, data transformations, and performance optimization.
• Experience developing and supporting ETL/data pipelines for analytics applications.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
• Familiarity with Generative AI (GenAI) technologies and their application to data engineering or automation use cases.
• Experience automating data engineering processes, workflows, and operational tasks.
• Ability to troubleshoot and support data applications in enterprise production environments.
• Experience working with financial services, risk analytics, or similarly regulated data environments is preferred.
• Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.
