Job summary

Broadway Ventures, LLC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to build and operate the AWS GovCloud infrastructure for Project Argos. You will own infrastructure as code, CI/CD, monitoring, and tamper-evident evidence storage to support the Authority to Operate.

You will collaborate with the Technical Lead, Application Developer, and project security lead on a 1-year contract at a part-time W2 or 1099 basis, with hourly pay rates for each mode.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building and operating GovCloud infrastructure (ECS/Fargate, DynamoDB, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch).
• Infrastructure as code using Terraform or equivalent.
• Designing and running CI/CD pipelines for containerized workloads.
• Operating containerized services in production.
• Monitoring, incident response, and security controls in regulated/federal environments (NIST 800-53).
• Producing technical documentation.
• Ability to obtain U.S. Public Trust.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the GovCloud environment (ECS/Fargate, DynamoDB, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch) via Terraform.
• Design and run CI/CD pipeline for container builds, vulnerability scanning, and deployment.
• Implement tamper-evident storage/logging (S3 Object Lock or equivalent).
• Configure outbound traffic to respect source rate limits for ~290 products.
• Establish monitoring, alerting, and incident response; report security incidents within one hour.
• Manage secrets, TLS/PKI, DNS, and network segmentation.
• Write control narratives and provide evidence for SSP and security assessments.
• Plan capacity/autoscaling to meet CHPL coverage/evidence targets.
• Keep architecture, runbooks, and docs current.
