Job summary

Community Excellence Foundation in Edmond, OK seeks an AWS Engineer to own modern infrastructure. You’ll backfill OpenShift test coverage, replace brittle Jenkins flows with scalable AWS Lambda solutions, and automate CI/CD pipelines for faster releases.

You’ll design fault-tolerant distributed systems leveraging Nginx and Istio, build observability dashboards, and partner with stakeholders to translate vague requirements into concrete technical plans.

Qualifications

• Experience with OpenShift and AWS-based CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and fault tolerance.
• Proven ability to translate product needs into technical work requests.

Responsibilities

• Backfill OpenShift test coverage in high-risk areas of the codebase.
• Translate product wishes into written communication services.
• Replace Jenkins hacks with an AWS Lambda-based scalable solution in Edmond.
• Automate build, test and deployment pipelines for faster releases.
• Refactor critical modules with minimal risk.
• Architect fault-tolerant distributed systems using AWS Lambda and Nginx.
• Build Istio dashboards for visibility into microservices.
