Job summary

Unknown is seeking an experienced Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to support cloud infrastructure, automation and secure CI/CD across critical platforms and applications.

You will work with AWS services, IaC, containerised apps and CI/CD tooling, ensuring secure, reliable environments. Expect an on-call component and a contract through late 2027, with UK remote work options and umbrella pay.

Qualifications

• Proven experience implementing and supporting AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services including EC2, Route 53, VPC, PrivateLink/VPC Endpoints, ELB, Secrets Manager, IAM, RDS and Control Tower.
• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Practical experience implementing security testing within CI/CD pipelines, including SCA, SAST and DAST.

Responsibilities

• Support AWS cloud implementation and maintenance across environments.
• Develop and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines with security baked in.
• Create and manage containerised apps using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
• Build infrastructure as code with Terraform and configuration automation with Ansible.
• Support self-managed GitLab and GitLab Runners across on-premises environments.
• Write scripts and Dockerfiles to support various systems and frameworks.
• Participate in on-call rota for Priority 1 and 2 incidents.
