Job summary

KBR is seeking an AWS DevOps Engineer to design, automate, secure, and operate AWS environments supporting mission-critical workloads.

This hands-on role collaborates across cloud engineering, cybersecurity, application development, and infra teams to modernize systems and deliver reliable cloud services. The engineer will own components, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to architectural decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
• At least six years of professional cloud/DevOps experience.
• Hands-on AWS design, deployment, and operations for production workloads.
• Experience with Terraform, IaC, or equivalent tooling.
• Experience with CI/CD platforms (GitLab/GitHub Actions).
• Proficient scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with security controls and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and secure AWS cloud environments.
• Develop IaC modules and deployment patterns.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Build containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Apply cloud security controls and FinOps practices.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and participate in design reviews.
