Job summary

The role requires 7+ years of related experience, a computer science degree or equivalent, and strong AWS database skills (Aurora PostgreSQL) along with Databricks and Splunk proficiency. Remote work options are available.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of experience in server database maintenance/analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a computer field.
• Experience supporting production database systems with on‑call responsibilities.
• Cloud/database certifications such as AWS Certified Database or AWS Solutions Architect preferred.
• Proficient experience with AWS database technologies like Aurora PostgreSQL and other AWS data services.
• Experience with Databricks.
• Knowledge of standard data warehouse concepts and data modeling/mapping.

Responsibilities

• Provide production support for mission‑critical database environments with on‑call coverage.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot incidents, and coordinate with teams to restore service quickly.
• Perform root‑cause analysis and contribute to long‑term stability improvements.
• Work in an Agile environment with daily scrums and sprint/PI planning.
• Develop operating standards for performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Define data elements and standards; enable efficient data relationships and system integration.
• Collaborate with product owners to gather requirements and map to technical specs.
• Document complex workflow designs for project teams and stakeholders.
• Synthesize data from multiple sources to create dashboards and KPI visuals.
• Develop and deploy ETL packages; manage version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with Splunk for logging, dashboards, and alerting.
• Create and modify SQL objects (procedures, views, tables) and dimensional models.
