Job summary
Mactores seeks a senior AWS Data Engineer to modernize customer data platforms and deliver production migrations within fixed delivery commitments. You will design data architectures, ETL pipelines, and safe cutover strategies using PySpark, SQL, EMR, Glue, Airflow, Redshift, Snowflake, Athena, and Presto.
In a forward-deployed model, you’ll own architecture decisions, troubleshooting, and cutover validation while collaborating with customer teams to deliver production-grade solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of PySpark and SQL experience.
- 2+ years building data pipelines with EMR or Glue.
- 2+ years data modeling and querying with Redshift/Snowflake/Athena/Presto.
- 1+ years building pipeline orchestration with Airflow.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain production data pipelines on AWS (EMR/Glue).
- Design data models and enable end-user querying on Redshift/Snowflake/Athena/Presto.
- Orchestrate pipelines with Airflow and monitor data quality.
- Write PySpark and SQL scripts for ETL workloads.
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to meet data needs.
- Document technical decisions and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
