Job summary

Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company, is seeking a Senior AWS Data Engineer to design and support enterprise AWS data solutions in a large financial services environment. This 100% remote contract through year-end focuses on cloud data integration, ETL development, and REST APIs.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on AWS engineering experience, Python, SQL, and ETL expertise, with preference for Markit EDM or MDM exposure.

Qualifications

Strong hands-on AWS engineering experience.
Proficient in Python.
Proficient in SQL.
ETL development and data integration in enterprise environments.
REST API development/integration experience.
AWS services such as Lambda, Glue, EventBridge.
Experience building cloud-native applications and supporting production systems.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and support enterprise AWS data solutions.
Build scalable ETL pipelines and cloud-native integrations.
Develop and support REST APIs for enterprise data platforms.
Create and maintain cloud-based data ingestion and transformation workflows.
Partner with Architecture, Data Engineering, and Business teams to deliver scalable solutions.
Troubleshoot production issues and optimize cloud performance.
Support initiatives tied to data quality, governance, and enterprise integration.
Deliver reusable, maintainable solutions using AWS best practices.
