STONEGATE TECHNOLOGIES LLC in Charlotte, NC is seeking a hands-on Senior AWS Data Engineer with 8+ years of experience in Java, Python, PySpark, SQL, AWS, and API development. The role is hybrid with two days in the office and focuses on building end-to-end data pipelines and production APIs with MCP/GenAI capabilities.

You will design scalable data workflows using AWS Glue, Athena, and Redshift, develop Java REST APIs with Spring Boot, and integrate MCP servers and GenAI tools.

Qualifications

10+ years of hands-on data engineering experience.
Strong Java, Python, PySpark and SQL skills.
Experience with AWS data services and MCP/GenAI integration.

Responsibilities

Design and build scalable data pipelines using AWS Glue, PySpark, Athena, and Redshift.
Develop complex data transformations with Python, PySpark, and SQL.
Design and develop Java-based REST APIs, preferably with Spring Boot.
Integrate APIs, databases, AWS services, and enterprise applications.
Develop and integrate MCP servers/tools to expose APIs, data, and services to agents.
Build GenAI solutions using AWS Bedrock, LLMs, tool calling, and agent architectures.
Implement logging, security, testing, monitoring, and CI/CD in production.
