Job summary

NTT DATA seeks an experienced AWS ETL Data Engineer (HYBRID) for our Memphis team. You will design, build, and support scalable data pipelines and data platforms across AWS services, Spark, and Redshift, ensuring privacy, governance, and security compliance.

The role requires leadership in SME data initiatives, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the ability to handle complex data issues while improving data quality for reporting and analytics.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in Data Warehouse / Big Data ecosystems.
• 5+ years in a lead / SME role.
• 5+ years with AWS architecture and data engineering (S3, EC2, Redshift RA3/Serverless, S3 Tables, S3 Hive, AWS Glue, Lambda (Python), Kafka, Airflow, Iceberg).
• 3+ years with Spark (Scala/Python).
• 5+ years with SQL/PLSQL, MySQL.
• 5+ years knowledge of data architecture & dimensional modeling.
• 5+ years experience with ETL/ELT frameworks.
• 5+ years experience in distributed data processing.
• 5+ years cloud data platforms; data governance and security.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Spark, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, and Shell scripting.
• Build and support ETL/ELT processes across AWS platforms (S3, Hive, Iceberg, Redshift).
• Develop and maintain Redshift SQL/PLSQL, stored procedures, and data-processing frameworks.
• Perform query tuning, performance optimization, and data-sharing implementations.
• Support ingestion of JSON, CSV, XML, ORC, Parquet, Avro formats.
• Create unified customer data views across systems; integrate data sources for analytics.
• Collaborate with business/tech teams to implement scalable data solutions.
• Manage Data Subject Requests (DSRs) and privacy compliance with DPO team.
• Provide production support and root-cause analysis for data platforms.
