Senior AWS Cloud Systems Operations Administrator

Location: Full Time Remote (San Antonio-based individuals preferred)

Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide subject matter expertise for assigned tasks.
• Support process improvements, conduct specialized studies, and define requirements.

Job Description:

• Deploy, manage, and operate workloads on AWS, ensuring security controls and compliance.
• Define requirements, create functional models, and develop architectural processes.
• Optimize system operations using AWS tools such as Kubernetes and Docker.
• Ensure compliance with security protocols and standards for cloud services.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in relevant IT areas, with a bachelor's degree; a master's degree may substitute for 2 years of experience.
• Experience managing Microsoft and Linux platforms, including AWS infrastructure maintenance.
• Proven experience with system administration on AWS, including Amazon EKS.
• Experience supporting development and testing teams in AWS, with knowledge of Kubernetes and RHEL servers.
• Kubernetes CKA certification or training, with at least 2 years of applied experience in container orchestration.
• Secret clearance required.

Additional certifications such as AWS SysOps Administrator, Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate (KCNA), or RH294 may be required, with relevant experience in container orchestration or application deployment.
