Job summary

SGS Consulting seeks an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS. You will deploy applications, automate AWS workflows, and enforce security standards across environments.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in cloud engineering with Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD and Git, plus Linux/Unix expertise and AWS certification preference. On-prem and cloud integration experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT experience and 5+ years in cloud engineering.
• Strong Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD development and Git experience.
• Proficiency with Linux/Unix administration in cloud and on‑prem.
• AWS certifications preferred (SysOps/DevOps/ Solutions Architect).
• Okta experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure and services.
• Design and deploy applications using AWS stack to build scalable, secure solutions.
• Create and implement automation processes for AWS services.
• Ensure infrastructure meets performance and security standards.
• Collaborate with team to improve tooling, security, and procedures.
• Monitor systems, test for security and availability, and provide metrics.
• Develop and maintain design and troubleshooting docs.
• Participate in policy creation for cloud use and compliance.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines when needed.
• Stay current with cloud technologies and industry trends.
