Job summary

SecurePro is seeking a hands-on Senior AWS Cloud Engineer / Cloud Implementation Lead to support a Department of Defense cloud governance, modernization, and gamification initiative.

This role will lead the technical implementation of an AWS-first capability that helps assess, score, visualize, and improve cloud maturity, security posture, operational readiness, and modernization progress across DoD systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of AWS cloud engineering or related roles.
• Hands-on experience designing or supporting AWS-based solutions.
• Experience with federal/DoD or government customers.
• Strong understanding of cloud governance, security, logging, and automation.
• Experience with dashboards, data pipelines, APIs, or scoring models.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery, backlog management, and stakeholder coordination.
• Ability to lead implementation activities with minimal supervision.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day AWS-based cloud governance MVP implementation.
• Design data ingestion, scoring, dashboarding, and reporting workflows.
• Coordinate with DoD stakeholders, system owners, cybersecurity teams, and leadership.
• Develop dashboards and reporting views for technical users and leadership.
• Support RMF/ATO readiness and compliance needs.
• Containerize and package capabilities for deployment across systems.
• Document deployment notes, onboarding guides, and playbooks.
• Manage backlog, milestones, risks, dependencies, and blockers.
