Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Architect to lead the end-to-end migration of VMware-based datacenter workloads to AWS using Agentic AI-driven migration solutions. You will define cloud architecture, migration strategy, governance standards, and provide leadership across architects, engineers, and stakeholders.

The role covers AWS landing zone design, migration roadmaps, and modernization efforts including containers with ECS/EKS, serverless patterns with Lambda, and IaC with Terraform.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of cloud architecture and migration leadership.
• Experience with VMware to AWS migrations and MGN.
• Proficiency in Terraform, AWS services, and AI/machine learning-assisted tooling.
• Ability to mentor architects and collaborate with executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead infrastructure and application discovery for AWS migration readiness.
• Define target AWS landing zone architecture and governance standards.
• Develop migration roadmaps, waves, sizing, and cost models.
• Design infrastructure using EC2, ECS/EKS, FSx, EFS, Route 53, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, API Gateway, Lambda.
• Lead migration execution with Agentic AI platforms powered by Claude and AWS AI services.
• Oversee modernization through containerization and migration to ECS/EKS, as appropriate.
