Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Architect to lead end-to-end VMware-to-AWS migrations using AI-driven solutions. The role requires 15+ years of experience and provides leadership across architects, engineers, and stakeholders.

You will define landing zones, migration roadmaps, security governance, and leverage AWS services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, and API Gateway while integrating Terraform and CI/CD practices. This is a remote position with a strong focus on modernization.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of cloud architecture/leadership experience.
• Proven expertise in AWS migrations from VMware to cloud.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services, security, and governance.
• Experience with AI-enabled migration tooling and automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery and assessment using enterprise tooling for AWS readiness.
• Define target landing zones, roadmaps, and cost models.
• Architect AI-driven migration workflows and automation.
• Oversee migration execution, modernization, and security hardening.
• Enforce IaC standards and CI/CD integration.
