Qualifications

• Proven track record managing and maintaining complex AWS environments.
• Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Experience with large-scale, high-availability, scalable cloud architecture.
• Strong proficiency in core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, IAM, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Route 53).
• Experience with AWS security practices (IAM, Shield, WAF).
• Experience designing and managing scalable AWS infrastructure.
• Proficiency with AWS networking components (VPCs, subnets, security groups, NACLS).
• Scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell, NodeJS).
• Experience with IaC tools (CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK).
• Experience with AWS monitoring/logging (CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Config).
• Performance optimization and troubleshooting AWS resources.
• Understanding of AWS security and compliance (HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2).
• Encryption, key management, data protection in AWS.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-level, day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for complex operating systems and server hardware.
• Develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope.
• Follow standard practices in analyzing situations or data.
• Coordinate and perform software installations and upgrades to OS and software packages.
• Schedule installations and upgrades per IT procedures.
• Monitor and tune multiple systems for optimum performance.
• Ensure data/media recoverability with backups and archives.
• Plan and implement server modernization.
• Develop and promote SOPs and schedules.
• Audit hardware/software for standards compliance.
• Develop and implement new standards, policies, procedures.
• Collaborate with Network and System Analysts on system selections.
