Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC seeks an AvSec Manager to lead security for Amazon Air’s cargo operations. You will define risk-based security standards, interpret federal regulations, and drive compliant, standardized processes.

You’ll serve as the interface between AIR and AvSec leadership and oversee investigations, regulatory engagements, and program improvements at a regional level. You will manage a 24/7 AvSec function, build workforce capability, and work with 3P providers to ensure secure

Qualifications

• Experience in corporate security management, transportation/supply chain operations, or aviation security.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience handling confidential information.
• 3+ years in security or investigations field or related degree.
• Aviation regulatory compliance experience is preferred.
• Experience conducting workplace risk investigations.
• Strong problem solving and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure security of associates, assets and data at AIR Cargo facility.
• Lead TSA compliance and regulatory adherence for the operation.
• Develop strategies to improve compliance and mitigate identified risks.
• Set requirements and expectations with facilities leadership.
• Create security and quality initiatives to continuously improve processes.
• Provide training and maintain staffing qualifications for security roles.
• Collaborate with AIR regional leadership and 3P providers on security programs.
• Investigate security incidents and coordinate with regulators as needed.
• Represent Amazon for TSA inspections and inquiries.
• Use Security Management Systems (SeMS) to identify root causes and mitigation actions.
• Conduct visits, assessments, and audits of processes and records.
• Implement security and shrinkage control programs to protect assets.
• This role covers a 24/7 operation and requires flexibility for all shifts.
