KLG Public Relations seeks an Associate Vice President to lead strategic communications programs for a wine and spirits client portfolio in New York. The role combines senior client counseling with team leadership and a focus on building brands that shape culture and conversation.

The AVP will drive impactful programs, manage multi-account portfolios, mentor junior staff, and cultivate strong media relationships across lifestyle, hospitality, and business media.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 10+ years of public relations experience, including a minimum of three years in wine and spirits.
• Celebrity and talent experience preferred.
• Strong media relationships across wine, spirits, lifestyle, hospitality and business.

Responsabilités

• Serve as a trusted advisor, providing senior-level strategic counsel and recommendations.
• Lead day-to-day account management while ensuring exceptional client service and measurable results.
• Manage multiple accounts, balancing priorities, deadlines, budgets, and deliverables.
• Oversee budgets, scopes of work, retainers, and resource allocation.
• Identify opportunities to grow existing client relationships through expanded scopes and initiatives.
• Lead and mentor junior team members, fostering growth and strong performance.
• Drive media relations across consumer, trade, business and lifestyle media.
