Job summary

Southeast Missouri State University Foundation seeks an Associate Vice President, University Advancement to lead daily operations, fundraising, donor stewardship, and alumni engagement. You will manage a portfolio of ~50 donors, partner with the VP on major opportunities, and drive the Foundation's strategic initiatives with accountability and strong judgment.

This is a role that blends strategy with hands-on execution.

Qualifications

• Approximately 8–10 years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising or advancement with leadership responsibilities.
• Proven success cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gift donors while managing an active portfolio.
• Experience supervising and developing professional staff with measurable outcomes.
• Knowledge of campaigns, donor strategy, prospect development, and organizational prep.
• Strong organizational and operational management skills translating strategy into plans.
• Experience using fundraising technology, donor databases, and performance reporting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for donors, boards, and leaders.
• Collaborative, confident leadership with accountability and results focus.
• Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
