Job summary

Fortitude Reinsurance Company Ltd. (Fortitude Re) is seeking an AVP, Investment Accounting in Nashville to own day-to-day investment accounting and reporting across GAAP, STAT, Bermuda SFS, and EBS under the VP, Investment Accounting.

You will oversee reconciliations, investigate variances, and provide clear analysis for senior leadership. The role emphasizes strong internal controls, monthly close, and continuous process improvement with AI-enabled tools.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of accounting experience with a focus on investments (fixed income, derivatives, mortgage loans, alternatives, structured products).
• Deep knowledge of multi-basis reporting (GAAP, STAT, Bermuda SFS, EBS).
• Proven ability to ensure complete, accurate, and timely processing of large-scale investment portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day investment accounting and reporting across GAAP, STAT, Bermuda SFS, and EBS under the VP direction.
• Oversee reconciliations of positions, trades, and cash across records and GL.
• Investigate and resolve income, position, and valuation variances with root-cause analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement in close, reconciliations, and reporting processes using automation and AI.
