Prairie View A&M University seeks an Assistant Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs to lead the Office of Academic Affairs and oversee recruitment support, onboarding, mentoring, and faculty awards and tenure case management. The AVP will partner with the Vice Provost and supervise OCE, CTE, and CIITS on cross-unit initiatives in a dynamic academic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in academic affairs, faculty development, or related admin function.
• Seven years of progressive experience in a college or university setting.
• Knowledge of faculty promotion, tenure processes, and higher education governance.
• Ability to coordinate cross-unit initiatives.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the day-to-day operational leader of Faculty Affairs.
• Oversee promotion and tenure case processing and deadlines.
• Design and implement a structured faculty mentoring program.
• Coordinate with CTE and CIITS on cross-unit initiatives.
• Oversee OCE and micro-credentials portfolio and partnerships.
• Develop, track, and report office-wide metrics.
• Oversee office operations, budget input, and staff.
• Maintain confidential faculty records.
• Represent the Vice Provost at committees and external engagements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
