Job summary
Dayton T. Brown, Inc. (DTB) is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to lead the creation of detailed operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures for avionic and electrical systems.
You will manage technical data, versioning, and lifecycle within DTB's Tech Suite and serve as the SME for assigned projects. The role requires strong aviation/writing background, ability to work remotely, and collaboration with engineers, illustrators, and publications staff to deliver high-quality documents
Qualifications
- 4-year College Degree required with 7+ years of Aviation/Aerospace/Defense experience.
- Must be able to interpret engineering data and drawings for technical publications.
- Proven ability to develop avionic/electrical troubleshooting procedures and diagnostics.
Responsibilities
- Lead development of avionic and electrical troubleshooting procedures.
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and publications personnel to gather data.
- Ensure documentation meets project processes and quality standards.
- Mentor junior writers and manage life cycle of technical data in DTB's Tech Suite.
