Job summary

D.O.M. magazine is seeking an Avionics Technician in Hartford, CT to perform inspections, adjustments, repairs and replacements on aircraft systems in accordance with FAA/JAA regulations and technical data.

The role includes basic mechanical and electrical tasks, documenting work performed, and coordinating with technical representatives to resolve system issues, with potential support at client sites as needed.

Qualifications

Avionics / Electric A/C Technical School or equivalent.
8+ years of aircraft experience, including at least 3 years on corporate jet aircraft.
Ability to read and understand electrical engineering drawings.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for status updates and coordination.
Own basic hand tools with inventory and control.
Ground Support Equipment qualifications may be required.
Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed.
Experience on corporate or commercial aircraft is desirable.

Responsibilities

Inspect, adjust, repair, and replace aircraft systems per FAA/JAA regulations.
Troubleshoot and service avionics, electrical and electronic equipment.
Document work performed per manuals and regulations.
Coordinate with technical representatives to resolve system issues.
Operate ground support equipment as needed and assist with removals/installations.
May assist with maintenance at off-site locations.
