Placements24 is seeking an experienced Avionics Systems Engineer to join a leading aviation team in Paarl. You will design, develop, integrate, and test avionics hardware and software to ensure reliable flight control, navigation, and surveillance systems for next‑generation aircraft.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering and at least four years of avionics experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EE or aerospace as a requirement.
• Minimum 4 years in avionics or related field.
• Strong knowledge of navigation, comms, flight control and surveillance systems.
• Experience with avionics simulation tools and testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate avionics hardware and software components for aircraft applications.
• Perform system analysis, simulation, and testing to validate avionics system performance and safety.
• Create and maintain system requirements, architecture, and interface control documents.
• Troubleshoot complex avionics issues during development, integration, or flight testing.
• Collaborate with software and hardware engineers and airframe manufacturers.
• Stay abreast of avionics technology and propose innovative solutions.
