Collins Aerospace in Bothell, WA is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to develop avionics flight display systems for air transport platforms. You will own the full system development lifecycle from architecture and requirements through integration and certification. The role focuses on pilot-centric technologies, requires collaboration with hardware, software, FPGA, and safety teams, and travel up to 10% as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
5 years of experience developing Systems or subsystem components (hardware, software, requirements, integration, and verification).
1 year of experience in a customer-facing role.
Experience with FAA/EASA certification processes and industry standards such as ARP4754A, DO254, DO-160, DO180, or similar.
Responsibilities
Develop and decompose system level requirements into subsystem requirements for flight display products.
Support system and subsystem architecture definition, interface control development, and technical trades across the Boeing Platforms Department product lines.
Collaborate closely with hardware, software, FPGA, systems integration, safety and project engineering teams.
Contribute to integration of display system hardware, software, and subsystem elements in system labs.
Support verification planning, test development, and execution to meet ARP4754 objectives and Collins engineering standards.
Participate in design reviews, risk/issue discussions, and IPT technical coordination.
