Job summary

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering with 12+ years direct experience.
• Read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams; identify symbols.
• Systems engineering role in electronics hardware or software development.
• Experience with analog, digital, and mixed-signal design, test and debugging.
• Familiar with DO-254/DO-178C safety processes.
• Proven ability to create test procedures for avionics verification and qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead the systems architectural design for new products and research.
• Provide technical leadership on proposals and customer quotes.
• Develop cost estimates for projects and proposals.
• Create and manage complete, traceable requirements.
• Ensure requirements traceability throughout the lifecycle.
• Guide and validate regression testing.
• Prepare test documents for DO-160, MIL-STD-461/810, EUROCAE/RTCA testing.
• Set up equipment for lab qualification testing.
• Perform trade studies and selection of avionics components.
• Develop avionics hardware requirements and interface control docs.
• Collaborate with management across hardware/software lifecycle.
• Chair peer reviews and milestone reviews (PDR, CDR, SDR).
• Develop ARP4754A/ARP4761 compliant Systems Safety Design Material.
• Assist sales with technical product details; support service issues as needed.
• Develop risk assessments and mitigation plans; ground test plans for aircraft integration.
• Troubleshoot aircraft installation issues and participate in test flights.
