Job summary
Jetvia seeks an experienced Avionics Technical Specialist to lead fleet-wide avionics reliability, troubleshooting, and technical direction across the fleet. This role supports Maintenance, Operations, and Leadership to ensure safe, reliable, and mission-ready aircraft availability.
The position focuses on AOG recovery, avionics troubleshooting, upgrade planning, and long-term reliability strategy, requiring leadership, robust FAA knowledge, and travel as needed.
Qualifications
- FAA A&P certificate required.
- 5+ years Learjet 60 avionics experience.
- 10+ years aviation maintenance experience.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Experience in corporate aviation and/or Part 135/145 environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic background in turbine avionics.
- Solid knowledge of FAA regulations and installation standards.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel for maintenance events, AOGs, and vendor visits.
Responsibilities
- Fleet avionics oversight: monitor discrepancies, track issues, and trend reliability.
- AOG support: act as escalation point with real-time guidance and rapid recovery.
- Technical authority: advise on MEL decisions and dispatch impact.
- Upgrades & modifications: evaluate service bulletins and coordinate installations.
- Vendor & OEM coordination: liaise with manufacturers and support teams.
- Operational integration: align avionics with dispatch and scheduling needs.
- Documentation & compliance: maintain logs and FAA-related records.
