Job summary

ICEYE US is seeking a Manager of Avionics to lead the engineering team responsible for payload and vehicle-level electrical architecture, avionics systems, communications, and onboard networking. The role sits within the Space Systems engineering team and will own electrical interfaces, data buses, harnessing, and integration across SAR payload programs and satellite vehicles.

The manager will codify historical payload designs into ICEYE US products, serving as the avionics technical authority

Qualifications

8+ years of spacecraft electrical design and avionics development lifecycle ownership.
2+ years of direct engineering management or technical lead experience.
Deep background in spacecraft power systems, harnessing and avionics bus architectures.
Experience developing and owning ICDs for hardware-to-hardware interfaces.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and grow a team of electrical, communications, networking, and avionics engineers; hiring and performance growth for direct reports.
Own avionics subsystem execution: work breakdown, scheduling, resource loading, risk tracking, and milestones.
Set and enforce avionics standards and processes across design, testing, and integration.
Serve as avionics authority and cross-functional liaison to systems engineering, RF, mechanical, software, and management.
