Job summary

Garmin is seeking a full-time Avionics Installation Technician 2 at our Mesa Gateway Airport location. You will install, troubleshoot and test certified and experimental avionics systems in FAR parts 23, 25, 27 and 29 aircraft.

This role requires at least 5 years of aviation or avionics experience and the ability to read wiring diagrams and installation manuals. Responsibilities include developing documentation, wiring harness fabrication, ramp testing, mentoring junior technicians and ensuring

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.
Minimum 5 years of aviation, maintenance or avionics experience.
Experience installing avionics on piston, turbine and turbojet aircraft.

Responsibilities

Develop documentation, testing and training plans for new avionics systems.
Modify aircraft to accommodate panel and remote avionics equipment with wiring and harness skills.
Prepare wiring harnesses per engineering drawings and installation documents.
Troubleshoot avionics installation interconnects and verify function with ramp test equipment.
Mentor lower-level technicians and apprentices.
Complete FAA-related paperwork (logbooks, 337, W&B).
Ensure compliance with DOT requirements and support installations.
