Job summary

Apera is seeking a Senior/Staff Electrical Engineer to own avionics and ground-support hardware for a fleet operating at global scale. You’ll lead design from concept through validation, release and production ramp, partnering with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, quality and supply-chain teams.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Electrical Engineering or related field, 5+ years in hardware design for shipped or fielded products, and strong analog, digital and power fundamentals, plus solid lab

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years hardware design and release for fielded products.
• Strong fundamentals in analog, digital, mixed-signal and power circuits.
• Excellent lab skills and documentation habits.

Responsibilities

• Own avionics electrical subsystems from concept through validation, release, production ramp and field support.
• Design PCBAs spanning digital, analog, sensing, communications and power circuits.
• Run board bring-up, write validation plans and drive design changes from measured data.
• Lead root-cause investigations and own corrective actions through to verified release.
• Partner with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, quality and supply-chain teams.
• Mentor engineers and raise design and release standards across the team.
