Job summary

Sun Country Airlines is seeking a Senior Avionics Engineer to lead electrical system airworthiness directives, service bulletins, and technology programs. The role focuses on avionics repairs, fleet upgrades, and coordination with vendors to resolve technical issues.

You will review manuals and service bulletins, collaborate with multiple departments, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. On-site in Las Vegas with a competitive compensation package and relocation/travel

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience + ten years of related experience.
  • At least 5 years of airline experience.
  • Proven engineering, computer, and technical knowledge.
  • Excellent at articulating complex information to various audiences.
  • Exceptional mathematical skills.
  • Ability to apply principles of logic and scientific thinking.
  • Ability to get an MSP SIDA Badge.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and assign all Engineering Task Cards/Authorizations to address avionics and related system repairs and alterations.
  • Provide technical assistance related to aircraft fleet upgrades/modifications.
  • Review and disposition avionics and aircraft electric system Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Service Letters, coordinate new technology programs, etc.
  • Serve as the point of contact for vendors on technical issues relating to avionics and aircraft electrical systems, and the establishment of procedures for coordinating and resolving technical issues with vendors.
  • Coordinate with various departments to resolve and prevent aircraft electrical system deficiencies.
  • Review and improve maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogs, task cards, and service bulletins in relation to all avionics.
  • Any other duties assigned by management.

Senior Avionics EngineerOverview:

Sun Country Airlines is seeking a Sr. Avionics Engineer to aircraft electrical system airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, coordinate new technology programs, etc.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

Compensation:

$120,000.00-140,000.00. This is the base compensation hiring range for this role.

Sign-On Bonus:

This role is eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000.00.
