Job summary

Benchmark Space Systems is seeking a highly experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Avionics team in Burlington, VT. You will design, build, and test modular propulsion avionics for small satellites, contributing to the next generation of in-space propulsion products.

The role requires 7+ years in circuit design and PCB layout, experience with Altium or similar tools, embedded firmware, and a collaborative mindset to work across mechanical, electrical, and production teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in circuit design and PCB layout.
• Experience leading design reviews and managing design requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• U.S. Person required.

Responsibilities

• Capture and distill system requirements into PCB designs with cross-functional teams.
• Define PCB interfaces with Mechanical Engineering; design and layout.
• Perform bring-up testing across environmental and electrical conditions.
• Generate production documentation for assembly and integration.
• Conduct design reviews of other engineers’ designs.
• Assist in business operations as needed.
• Maintain Benchmark’s reputation for honesty, integrity and transparency.
