Job summary

CNA is seeking a part-time on-call Sr. Aviation Test & Evaluation Expert at NAS Pt. Mugu, California.

The role involves creating and reviewing air vehicle and weapons test designs, planning, and proposing program changes to better fit client needs and speed integration of test planning at client sites. The ideal candidate has 18 years of experience in military flight testing and naval aviation operations, a Master’s degree in a related field, and a Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical field.
• Eighteen years of cumulative experience in military flight testing and naval aviation operations; direct experience with air developmental and operational test.
• Demonstrated expertise in organizational management of flight test organizations and test plan creation.
• Active Top Secret security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Works independently at client site(s) to ensure project designs and test plans are feasible and integrated with test sites.
• Uses Navy developmental and operational test experience to facilitate integrated test program implementation.
• Advises CNA leadership and partners with project directors to coordinate with sponsoring organizations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
