Job summary

Hanson Professional Services, Inc. in Orlando is seeking an Associate Project Manager, Aviation Planning to lead complex airport planning tasks, from master plans to environmental evaluations and sustainability assessments.

You will coordinate with clients and internal teams to advance projects on time. The role requires a Bachelor's in Planning, Aviation Management, Civil Engineering or related field and at least 8 years of airport planning experience, plus strong knowledge of FAA advisories

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Planning, Aviation Management, Civil Engineering or a relevant field.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant airport planning experience with increasing responsibilities and project leadership.
• Strong working knowledge of FAA advisory circulars and orders.
• Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with clients, airport boards, FAA and regulatory organizations.
• Master's degree in a relevant field and certifications such as AICP, AAE, CM, LEED, ENV SP are preferred.
• Proven experience as a project manager and/or task leader on airport planning projects.
• Experience mentoring and supervising junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare airport master plans and related planning tasks.
• Assist aviation market in smart airport planning programs and grant applications.
• Communicate analysis results via memos, reports, displays, and presentations to government bodies.
• Prepare technical proposals, scope of work, and external relationships and presentations.
• Coordinate with clients and project teams for identified tasks.
• Travel to client locations or regulatory agencies for project work.
• Willing to work overtime to meet deadlines.
