Senior Aviation Military Analyst (Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) and Cyber Expertise)

About the position:
The purpose of this position is to provide professional support services for Army Capability Managers (ACMs) and the Experimentation and Analysis Directorate (CEAD) at the United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE), Fort Novosel, Alabama.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze Aviation organizations in support of formation-based assessments.
- Analyze Aviation organizations in support of simulation activities.
- Analyze Aviation organizations in support of annual capabilities needs assessments.
- Tailor methodology and conduct analysis to examine Aviation tasks, conditions, standards, and gaps across select Aviation formations.
- Write or support the revision of JCIDS, supporting, and emerging requirements documents.
- Review manned/unmanned platform programs and their requirements documents.
- Assess the validity of current capabilities in relation to Large Scale Combat Operations.
- Evaluate the ability of systems to operate effectively in a Large-Scale Combat environment.
Qualifications:
- Rated Army Aviator or EW Warrant Officer with at least 15 years of combat operations experience.
- Experience in training and implementing electromagnetic and cyber protection measures for Army Aviation aircraft with Aviation Survivability Equipment (ASE).
- TS/SCI clearance required within 90 days.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in capability management or combat developments.
- Experience authoring JCIDS documents approved by the JROC is preferred.
- Participation as a team member in Army Aviation Capability Based Assessments (CBA) supporting ISR fixed wing aircraft or threat EW systems.
- Experience leading aviation studies or operational test events, developing capabilities, and evaluating technologies.
- Ability to review and edit technical products at a graduate level.
- Deep knowledge of training, implementing, and analyzing electromagnetic and cyber threats to Army Aviation platforms; experience as a TACOPS, SEMA, or electronic warfare officer is preferred.
- Ability to work independently, producing white papers, concept papers, requirements documents, and operational views based on broad guidance.
- Relevant DAU or equivalent courses, including JCIDS, requirements management, capabilities-based assessment, and analysis of alternatives.
