Job summary

Boeing seeks a Senior Life Support Technician (Parachute Rigger) to join our team at Edwards AFB, California. You will inspect, maintain, fabricate, repair and test aviation life support equipment to ensure readiness for flight crews and international customers.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required and ability to obtain US security clearance.
• 5+ years of experience with Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE).
• 5+ years of experience with military and FAA aviation safety standards, technical orders, and maintenance procedures.
• Willing and able to travel 40% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive inspections, maintenance, fabrication, repair, and testing of aviation life support equipment.
• Sources, documents, and tracks equipment discrepancies, status, records, and work actions in accordance with Boeing and military standards.
• Executes end-to-end procedures that ensure all escape, egress, and survival equipment meet all regulatory and program-specific requirements.
• Aligns with cross-functional teams to deconflict ALSS discrepancies affecting flight crew readiness and test milestones.
• Conducts initial and recurring training on egress procedures through water survival training for flight crew and customers.
