Job summary

Shelby County Airport in Alabama seeks a lead aviation support technician to supervise fuel and servicing operations for aircraft, crews and visitors. You will manage inventory, coordinate fuel orders and ensure accurate documentation for fueling activities.

The role requires experience with fuel testing, handling and safety procedures, plus the ability to train staff and work nonstandard hours as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two or more years of aviation-related task experience.
• Experience with testing (fuel sumps) and documenting fueling systems.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to work irregular hours.

Responsibilities

• Greets, assists and provides service for aircraft, flight crews and visitors.
• Assists Aviation Supervisor in training new aviation technicians.
• Enter purchasing requisitions and receive on purchasing invoices.
• Directs, parks and communicates with aircraft crews using hand signals when necessary.
• Performs aircraft fueling operations with documentation of quantities and customer data.
• Inspects facilities, performs maintenance tasks and documents fueling systems.
